First Impressions:
- Beautiful location with lots of shade
- Beach is great, lake offers lots of spots to fish from
- General store at campground is a huge plus
- Lots of police presence
- Restrooms were extremely outdated
- Lots of sites for camping, over 200 I think
Settled In:
- Love the MTB trails and hiking trails
- Dennis at General Store is great, very friendly, good selection
- Several playgrounds geared towards young children
- Splash pad only open on weekends during the summertime
- Plenty of restaurants and shopping within 7-8 miles of campground
- No laundry facilities on campground
Lasting Impressions:
- Enjoyed our stay and will indeed return
- Definitely don’t like the restrooms at campground
- Site 97 is great, kind of private and a great tree for climbing
- Make sure you pick a site that is level or at least bring plenty of leveling blocks
- Lots to do without having to leave the campground (MTB, beach, fish, & hike)
- If you bring bikes you may never have to start up your vehicle until you depart.
6 out of 8 thumbs up!
